Now the description:

Converts the Whatsapp crypt 8, crypt7 and crypt5 databases to the old version of crypt database!
Republish as 1.3.1 because play store seems to not have published v1.3!?

Reads the file /sdcard/Whatsapp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt8 or 7 or 5 and converts it to a file /sdcard/Whatsapp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt.
Please be patient. After starting Its running in the background and may take some minutes!


! You will need root permissions for crypt7 and crypt8 files.
! Why root? Because the decryption keys is located in the private data directory of whatsapp. Root is needed to read the key file to decrypt the crypt8 databases.
! Why this app? Other apps like SMS Backup+ will work again, they only support the old crypt(1) version

Whatsapp creates the crypt5/7/8 backup file every night at 4am.
Whatsapp Crypt-DB Converter will run at 5am and convert the database created at 4am.

Permissions:
Read/modify content of SD card: should be clear.
Find accounts: crypt5 database uses your Google Account Mail address in its key - we need to read it.
Run at startup, prevent phone from sleeping: needed for the 5am convertion

Why root? The key for decrypting crypt7+8 databases must be retrieved from /data/data/com.whatsapp - this needs root access.
